Good Morning Stampers! Today's post is so perfect for the wonderful fall weather we've been having. Although fall has arrived here in Maine, the temperatures have been in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Very unusual. My hubby is helping a farmer with his potato crop this year. Can't keep him off of a tractor, he loves it. Now that he is retired, that was his aim, to be back on a tractor. He grew up with a family that grew and harvested potato's for a living so he's in his glory. The temps have been so hot though that they've had days where they had to get done early due to the heat. I'm going to go try and take some photo's of him in the field today.
So my post for today is fall-related. Back in July, Brandy Cox did a presentation at the Annual Stampin' Up! Convention and this is what she wow'd everyone with:
What an awesome project to complete! First let's look at the four cards that go with this set:
Each card uses the "Into The Woods" designer paper as a background and there are 2 special sheets in this paper pack. Special why? Because one whole side of each sheet contains a full sheet of the flowered image you see in the center of each card. Our 2-1/2" Circle Punch fits PERFECTLY around the images to cut and use like we did on our cards:
On 3 of the patterns, the white is so vibrant so for the white circle of flowers to show up properly, I sponged the background with coordinating ink to soften up the white:
The stamp set used on all 4 cards and for the front of the box is the "Acorny Thank You" stamp set:
I even stamped acorns on the bottom of my envelopes to coordinate with the box and the cards. You know, everything has to match!
And finally, a close-up of this beautiful box. I love all the products used to decorate the front, so pretty!
And the box separates in the center to reveal two pieces. All of the cards and envelopes slide right into the box for storage.
If you would like to create one of these ensembles, Stampin' Up! graciously supplied us with a direction sheet that you can print for your own use. Here it is below and you can click on the PDF sheet or the link below it to print a copy for yourself:
