Start off with the following supplies:
- (1) Empty Embellishment Container
- (1) Cardboard and (1) Designer Paper cut with the Scallop Die
- (1) Designer Paper cut with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch
- (1) Strip of Designer Paper cut at 1" x 8"
- Sticky Strip
Add Sticky Strip to the top of the container as shown above. Remove backing from Sticky Strip and glue the 2 1/2" circle to the top. Add Sticky Strip around the sides of the container. I used (2) strips, one at the very bottom and one at the very top. Glue the DSP strip in place:
Using Sticky Strip, add a strip around the embellishment container by taping 1/2 of the strip lengthwise on the side and pushing the other 1/2 on the top:
Remove backing from Sticky Strip and glue the Pleated Satin Ribbon in place, again, making sure that 1/2 lengthwise is sitting on the side of the container and push the other half towards to top of the container:
Using Tombow Mono-adhesive glue, add glue to the scalloped cardboard layer and glue the DSP to the cardboard:
Add Sticky Strip to the bottom of the container:
Remove backing from the Sticky Strip and glue the container to the center of the scalloped DSP layer:
Add a 2nd strip of Sticky Strip to the bottom of the container allowing 1/2 of it lengthwise, to rest on the scallop circle DSP shape:
Add another layer of Pleated Satin Ribbon and push down on the ribbon so that it stays in place over the Sticky Strip:
I added a 4" strip of Pleated Satin Ribbon by folding it in half and gluing it to the hat with Sticky Strip and creating a "V" formation with the ribbon. Cut the ends at an angle.
Next I added a trio of flowers by punching 9 of the largest flower from the Boho Blossoms Punch and So Saffron Cardstock. Scrunch up all of the flowers, unroll and stack 3 flowers together. Poke a hole in the center and add a Gold Brad to each flower. Glue in place with a Stampin' Dimensional.
For the last step I used the Bird Punch and punched out 5 leaves with Soft Suede Cardstock, scrunched them up, unrolled them and then glued them in place by tucking them in-between the flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals:
Close-up of ribbon, leaves & flowers:
Wouldn't this be cute with a magnet on the back to add to the front of a refrigerator or file cabinet? Or adding a small loop of ribbon on the back to hang on a wall?
Enjoy your day today...come back and visit!
