Tomorrow is the BIG DAY for us at Create with Connie & Mary. Our August Mini Session is posting for all of our subscribers. Have you signed up yet?

Have you ever experimented with changing up a simple card to a wow card? I am posting with baby-themed cards for today's "Two For Tuesday" post. I have a "clean & simple" card and a "wow" card. Both cards are stamped using the Zoo Babies stamp set:

Although the first card has multiple layers, it still uses a lot of white space with only a few stamped images. I added the sentiment cut with the Word Window Punch:

Here are the steps to create this first card:

Card Base: Soft Sky Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 4" x 5-1/4". Glue to card base.
Layer #3: Color Me Irresistible Designer Paper 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". Sponge Pink Pirouette over the embossing and wipe with a tissue. Glue to card front.
Layer #4: Whisper White Cardstock 4" x 3-1/4". Stamp the elephant image using Pink Pirouette Ink and the giraffe image using Soft Sky Ink. Glue to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment using Soft Sky Ink and cut with the Word Window Punch. Glue to stamped layer.

For Card #2 I added some banners, Organza Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels and some embossing:

Creating this card:

Card Base: Soft Sky Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 4" x 5-1/4".
Layer #3: Pink Pirouette Cardstock 2" x 4". Emboss with the Chevron Embossing Folder and glue to the bottom of the Whisper White layer.
Stamp the animals close together like I did using Soft Sky and Pink Pirouette Inks. Glue layer to card base.
Ribbon: Glue a piece of Organza Ribbon across the card base where the Pink Pirouette Cardstock meets the Whisper White Cardstock. Tie a 2nd piece of ribbon into a bow and glue to card front using Glue Dots.
Banners: Cut 4 banners using the Color Me Irresistible Designer Paper. Sponge 2 of them with Pink Pirouette Ink and 2 using Soft Sky Ink. Glue 3 at the top as shown in the photo using Stampin' Dimensionals. Glue the 4th banner to the card by sneaking it under the ribbon on the right-hand side.
Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment using Soft Sky Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Cut out with the Word Window Punch and glue in place using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Embellish: Add Rhinestone Jewels to the background of the card.
