Both cards have the same two layers of cardstock and use the "Vintage Leaves" stamp set. Let's take a peek at Card #1 which is the "Clean & Simple" card:
Steps to creating this card:
- Card Base: Whisper White Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
- Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 3" x 3-1/4". Stamp the leaves using Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey and Chocolate Chip Inks. Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment from "A Dozen Thoughts" using Chocolate Chip Ink. Glue to card base 1" from the top using Stampin' Dimensionals
It's amazing how you can change a card by just adding a few elements. Let's see what we added to make this a Stepped-Up card:
- Card Base: Whisper White Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
- Ribbon: Cut a piece of White Jute Ribbon measuring 4" long. Cut the ends into a "V". Glue the ribbon to the card base about 1-1/2" from the top with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
- Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 3" x 3-1/4". Stamp the large leaf using Pear Pizzazz. Stamp the three other leaves on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey and Chocolate Chip Inks. Cut out all three leaves using the Leaflets Framelits Dies. Glue two leaves over the Pear Pizzazz leaf. Glue the small leaf using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add a small bow tied with Linen Thread and glued in place using Glue Dots. Add 3 Rhinestone Jewels in the background. Glue center over the ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment from "A Dozen Thoughts" using Chocolate Chip Ink below Layer #2.
And here is a listing of everything that I used for both cards:
